The Family Environmental Survey was created to have an environmental awareness vehicle that could be taken home and reviewed as a family activity. The family activity would include an audit of the environmentally good activities that are occurring in the home and particular activities that "need some work".

• Over 410,000 surveys are distributed.
• The survey are returned to school and tabulated by the teachers.
• The results are discussed as a classroom activity.
• The classroom results are forwarded to the Foundation for a master tabulation.
