The 20th Annual EGBAR Foundation Golf Tournament, sponsored by Simple Green, provided people the opportunity to "take part in something overwhelmingly good," as one attendee so insightfully stated. With the help of all of the tournament sponsors and participants, the foundation succeeded in raising over $165,000 for this year's benefactors: The Gary Sinise Foundation, the Bolsa Chica Conservancy, and Amore for Dogs.
The benefactors met and even golfed with attendees, sharing firsthand the dramatic impact that their donations make. Proceeds from last year's golf tournament helped launch the Bolsa Chica Conservancy's Windows to our Wetlands program. Attendees toured the vehicle that the donated money went toward and helped retrofit. They viewed the tanks of sea creatures lining the walls of the bus and learned about how they can help protect the wetlands, much like the children in underserved communities are now able to thanks to the EGBAR Foundation.
Viviana Soldano FaBrizio, founder of Amore for Dogs, was also on hand to discuss the impact the tournament has on her charity. The organization focuses on providing ongoing support for shelter and rehabilitation centers for animals of all types across the globe.
The EGBAR Foundation's newest benefactor, The Gary Sinise Foundation, made perhaps the biggest impact at this year's tournament. Committed to providing resources to severely wounded veterans and their families, The Gary Sinise Foundation embodies the EGBAR spirit by working to improve not only returning heroes' health, but their positive outlook as well. There were tears of pride as attendees took to their feet to provide a standing ovation to two veterans' dinner speeches.
The EGBAR Foundation and Simple Green extend a wholehearted thank you to all who participated and contributed to the 20th Annual EGBAR Foundation Golf Tournament. This type of teamwork enables the foundation to move forward in its efforts to spread positive thinking and positive action, motivating people to make responsible decisions for themselves and the environment.
