How the EGBAR Foundation began…
The EGBAR® Foundation was established by Sunshine Makers, Inc., manufacturers of the all-purpose, non-toxic cleaner, Simple Green®. As an environmentally concerned company, a long-standing desire of Sunshine Makers, Inc. has been to establish an organization dedicated to cleaning up the environment. To that end, The EGBAR Foundation was founded, with Bruce FaBrizio, Chief Executive Officer of Sunshine Makers, at the helm.
The EGBAR Foundation encompasses the spirit of the company, which reflects the importance of a safely cleaned environment. As a symbol of the dedication to making EGBAR’s “Clean Up America” efforts successful, one percent of Sunshine Maker’s Simple Green sales will go to the EGBAR Foundation.
The core of the work done by the foundation is a program called The EGBAR Clean-Up Challenge. Additionally, the foundation runs clean-ups at the beach, parks, and schools. The EGBAR Foundation is also the official foundation of Huntington Beach, California.
The EGBAR Foundation: Goals and Objectives
- Educate children throughout the world about the importance of recycling and protecting the environment.
- Create greater awareness of community environmental clean-up needs and what can be done to meet them.
- Challenge all segments of these communities, both young and old, to be responsive to these needs.
- Raise and provide funds effect action on projects address these needs.
- Focus efforts on “Making A Difference”throughout the world.
